Today they announced the tour dates for Drake’s upcoming “Away From Home” tour that will begin on April 6th in Charleston, Illinois and end on May 8th in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Confirmed dates are below:

Drake will be headlining with Toronto’s own k-os and pop synth band Francis & The Lights as opening acts.

I have to admit, I really lucked out on this one. Drake opens the tour at a eastern Illinois university 1.5 hours away from me, to say I am elated is an understatement.With that said, I hope he does open up the tour a little more so more of his fans can see him. He seems to be hitting some really small schools and a lot of “private” shows?

who actually likes seeing musicians at stadiums? its a much more intimate affair at a smaller venue. i hope drake sticks with the small clubs. though i’m sure the arena tour will happen. AFTER the album is released.
