Before I get I let all the details out, I’m going to explain what a Grammy pre-nomination initial ballot entry is. A Grammy initial ballot entry is a list of recordings that are submitted by record companies and individuals. Those songs are displayed in a list where they are voted to actually be an official nominee for whichever category. It’s kind of like the elections with a ballot voting system. The nomination and final voting processes requires that members vote only in their fields of expertise. The 5 recordings that earn the most votes become the nominees. So Drake has been listed 7 times in that list under 5 different categories. That means he hasn’t been nominated yet but there’s chances that he may be! The general public can’t vote but like we stated above, it is members of the Recording Academy(over 150 experts from the recording industry) who will be able to vote. Let’s hope the best for Drake! 7 Grammy initial ballot entry without an album? That’s insane! Check out the categories & recordings nominated below.

That is SO wonderful! Just amazing for an artist who was unsigned at first and still doesn’t even have an “official” album out. Goes to show just how talented he truly is, congrats Drizzy!

Wow. Without an album is a true skill. Grammy? I think he’ll win all 7, trust, and where the he’ll is kardinal, you’d think the guy is signed to Konvict Music he at least be nominated, how soft is that. Truely Drake has more swag then that. Okay, no more illuminati talks. You can bring that elsewhere but not on my website. @dakidmel, it just sucks that that’s the 1st thing you can think of about it. Why can’t he just be great? He had the #1 single AND mixtape of the year, of course every artist is going to want him on his songs. And he has grammy pre-nominations, not nominations. It simply means that his label was able to pitch his (successful) songs to the grammys. Look at the list, 2 of the songs aren’t even his and 4 are Best I Ever Had. It’s all common sense; he’s had an amazing year & Best I Ever had was the icebreaker so quit it with the non-sense.

Im so amazed how far Drake has come! He truly has had a fantastice year, and many more to come. If the people vote for this pre-nominations to become actually Grammy nominations that is going to be amazing! It would be great if Drake could walk away with all 7. The things he has accomplished without an album that is timeless. I truly hope they are “documenting what he is become”
