there is a reason why jigga didn’t let drizzy do a verse on his track.. cuz he was scared drake would kill him on his own track LOL.. i’m pretty sure that’s why drake has no verse..only on the hook.

drake owns everyone when it comes to going in on a verse..jigga was scared..bottom line!

I’m seriously dissapointed, I was looking foward to Drake putting a monumental 16 bars down. But let’s be real guys….. Drake didn’t get a verse for a reason. Everything Jay does is thoughtfully calculated.

With that being said, you can’t say drake’s flow makes Jay shake in his tims. That’s ridiculous.

Trust, I am the biggest drake fan, hes my favorite and I play him back to back. But this sucks a big one.

LOL @ ppl thinking that drake would of killed jay. Jay has done songs with biggie, eminem, nas some of the greatest lyricist of our time and u think hes afraid to do a song with drake? lol I’m not saying drake couldn’t of killed him but if jay aint afraid to do songs with biggie em and nas u really think hes scared to let drake have a verse?

    @ 8:58 PM

    @ chuck taylor & @ ashley..

glad to hear you guys u feel the same way…

drake and jigga do record 2-3 tracks when they were in the studio together..so let’s hope drake had some authority ..perhaps a track on Thank me Later..where drake just kills jigga with his 32 bars and gives jigga 8 bars LoL.. im waitin for that..

to me its very simple..jayz didn’t wanna get merked on his own track .. just like how kanye merked jigga on Run this town..that was funny..kanye verse was insane..

regarding money to blow remix with birdman / wayne ..

im not a birdman/baby fan and never will be..i was upset drake decided to continue his association with them..but the best line of the song:
wayne : ‘we gon be alright if we put drake on every hook..’

    CLASSICCC lol

like everyone i am dissapointed but Drake has done hooks for alotta people and the songs do do pretty good sojay-z jus wanted this to be the way it was so its a great track but ya drake and jigga will get a track togetha and drake will kill a verse…there will be a song because it is too anticipated for drake and jigga jus to ignore it.
so patience is key and like drake says and his debut album says maybe theres a reason he didnt do a verse maybe he wrote one and it didnt make the cut or maybe he liked the verse so much he kept it for another song so all u gotta do is “Than Him Later” for not getting that verse cuz he will praise u with some hot shit wen he does cut a new track with a jay-z or whoeva he may feature with.

drake does it big give him time because he has the right tools to do good so patience is wat hes asking for and u will see wat he has to offer later wen he drops a new single or collab with an artist…hes too good to jus leave it at that.
who knows maybe he will drop a freestyle on the OFF THAT beat like he did wit STILL FLY by. Page and Drake on the hook, he came back around and murdered it so he might do it to this track too jus stay tune! SO FAR GONE BABYYY!!! YM CM ATF OVO

whatitdodrizzy, ur totally right 100%. Jay was afraid Drake would kill him on the verse so he didnt give him one. Because face it, Jay is whack now he has no flow and his rhymes arent even really thought through.. Wayne is like the old Jay right now only better, and Drizzy is gonna overpass all of them in a VERY short period of time.

I don’t think Drake is talking about Hov in that quote from The Winner… How you gon’ go harder than someone when you’re only on the hook? It sounds like he’s talking about a specific song, not just being better than someone.

nope, I don’t think he was targeting Jay either but then again I was not in the studio when he wrote it. It just shows sometimes you can’t hop on a track of another artist (being a feat./verse) because they know you will go harder, because you have to go harder, because you CAN go harder. Drake got the hook hooray for that either way. But I think fans were just expecting that Drake juice to be sprinkled on there more than he was. It’s like he was a garnish and we are like DAMN where the steak!?

Drake, you did what you did and I’m proud, I like it. Maybe next time when I look at the menu, I need to ask for the ingredients list.
